Selected from the collections of the Morton Arboretum, Lisle, Illinois, for its graceful, upright-rounded habit; fragrant white flowers in mid- to late June; ornamental, cinnamon-colored exfoliating bark; and clean foliage through the growing season. The parent tree, measuring 40' in height with a 35' spread, originated from seed collected in Gansu Province, People's Republic of China, by Joseph Rock during the 1920s. Zones 4-7.
