Selected by Wilson Nurseries, Inc., Hampshire, Illinois, for its excellent cold hardiness, a compact, oval-rounded habit, delicate foliage and good growth rate. The semiglossy, emerald-green foliage develops an appealing bluish cast during the growing season that changes to a rich black-green during winter. The elegant texture of Northern Charm™ is reminiscent of Korean box. This selection will grow 3' to 4' in height with a 5' spread in 15 years and makes an outstanding choice for traditional formal hedges and border plantings. Zones 4b-8.
