Cranberry Viburnum

This hybrid was originally selected and introduced by Hesse Nursery, Weener, Germany, in the 1930s. It was reselected out of the Morton Arboretum collections because of its excellent garden performance. Unique characteristics include a compact spreading habit, delicate foliage, excellent disease and pest resistance, burgundy fall color and good production of red fruit. Matures to 18" in height and spreads laterally from branches that root at the soil line. Zones 5-7.
