Selected by Synnestvedt Nursery Company, Round Lake, Illinois, for its upright-rounded habit and glossy dark-green foliage. Creamy white flowers appear in mid- to late June, followed by ornamental clusters of blue-black fruit in autumn. Extremely wet sites should be avoided. Grows to 10' to 12' in height with an 8' to 10' spread in ten years. Needs cross-pollination for best fruit production. Zones 3-8.
